According to the United Nations, sand and dust storms have become more frequent and severe in recent years.
The day was observed to raise awareness and address the
alarming increase in frequency and severity of these natural disasters.

ombating Sand and Dust Storms, to combat these destructive storms and mitigate their impact on communities worldwide.
